Girard Perregaux 9050

This is a self-winding dress watch from Girard-Perregaux, bearing the reference 9050. Housed in an elegant, compact case crafted from solid 18-karat yellow gold exudes understated refinement. The 7.5mm slim round profile features polished lugs that taper seamlessly into the strap, emphasizing its formal sophistication. The white lacquered dial is adorned with applied Roman numeral hour markers and heat-blued feuille hands—absent of lume, are timeless, legible and best viewed in the candle light. A neatly recessed sub-seconds register sits at the 9 o'clock position, adding visual interest without disturbing the watch's symmetry. The dial is signed “Girard-Perregaux” at 3 o'clock and “Automatic” just above the 6, revealing the presence of a reliable in-house automatic caliber GP 3000 series that also powers the Vacheron Constantin Overseas and Cartier Pasha, known for its thinness and dependable performance. At just 2.98 mm in height this movement offers a smooth high-beat sweep at 4hz, hacking mechanism and a discreet winding sensation through the gold crown, with no date display to interrupt the dial's purity.
